We’ve been working to optimize the Property Rental licensing experience for our license holders. As part of these improvements, several process changes have been implemented.

New Property Rental Applications

All new Property Rental applicants are now required to first create a Property Management Registration. This requirement applies even if you only manage a single property.

Existing Property Rental License Holders

If you already have existing Property Rental licenses, you do not need to complete a new registration. Our staff has already created and linked your Property Management Registration to all associated BTR – Property Rental licenses on your behalf.

This update allows for a streamlined bulk renewal process during the upcoming renewal period.

Renewal Process Beginning July 1

When the renewal window opens on July 1, you will receive an email notification indicating it is time to renew your licenses.

Within your renewal form:

• All associated Property Rental licenses will be displayed together.
• You will select “Yes” for each property you wish to renew.
• All licenses tied to your Property Management Registration must be renewed at the same time.
• Partial renewals are not permitted.

Each selected property will automatically add the associated renewal fee to your total balance. Payment for all licenses must be completed in a single transaction, as the fees are combined into one renewal invoice.

Once payment has been received:

• All associated BTR – Property Rental licenses will renew together.
• Updated licenses will be available in your portal under your Property Management License record.
• To view your properties, select the “Property Rentals” tab.
• Individual property licenses may then be opened, downloaded, and printed for display at the property location.
